Chinese Five Spice White Wine Sangria

Who says you have to make sangria with red wine? We're putting one of our favorite blends - Spiceology Chinese Five Spice - to work with this tasty take on a classic. Cheers!

Ingredients
- 4 oz Spiceology Chinese Five Spice Simple Syrup
- 2 Spiceology Ceylon Cinnamon Sticks
- 5 Spiceology Star Anise
- 750 ml Pinot Grigio
- 4 oz White Rum/Brandy
- ½ orange, sliced
- ½ apple, sliced
Chinese Five Spice Simple Syrup:
- 2 tablespoons Spiceology Chinese Five Spice blend
- 8 oz granulated sugar
- 8 oz water
Directions
Chinese Five Spice Simple Syrup:
In a pot, add all ingredients: 2 tablespoons Spiceology Chinese Five Spice blend. 8 oz granulated sugar and 8 oz water.
- Bring to a boil for 1 minute and stir until sugar and powder dissolve.
Reduce heat to low for 5 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
- Store in airtight jar, refrigerated for up to 1 month.
Cocktail:
- In a pitcher, add all ingredients. Stir and pour over ice in a wine glass
Garnish with Star Anise and Ceylon Cinnamon sticks
