Caramelized sweet potato wedges glazed in butter and Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero - then finished with a drizzle of honey-hot sauce - this is your new favorite side dish or snack. The sweet heat from Smoky Honey Habanero builds as the potatoes roast, creating a sticky, bold glaze that goes with just about everything. Simple enough for a weeknight, impressive enough to share.

Smoky Honey Habanero Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero
  • 3 sweet potatoes, cut into wedges
  • coarse salt, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons your favorite local honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Directions

  1. Set your oven to 425°F.
  2. Cut your sweet potatoes into wedges (or however you like) skin on.
  3. In a pan, coat sweet potatoes with oil, toss, and season with salt.

  4. Cover the pan then place in the oven for 25 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven and uncover. Place butter and Spiceology Smoky Honey Habanero seasoning into a pan and toss to coat the wedges.

  6. Put back in the oven uncovered for 25 minutes.
  7. Once again remove from oven and add in apple cider vinegar.
  8. Let sweet potatoes cool. Combine honey and the hot sauce, drizzle over potatoes and serve as side dish or a good snack.
