Thick-cut cauliflower steaks get a deep smoky char and a tangy citrus kick, all lifted by the bold barbecue swagger of Spiceology X Chad White Flavor Hog Blend. A quick two-ingredient sauce brings it home in minutes. This is the plant-forward dish that wins over the whole table — meat-eaters included.

Flavor Hog Cauliflower Steaks

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower
  • 1 cauliflower head
  • squeeze lemon/orange juice
  • drizzle extra virgin olive oil
  • Spiceology X Chad White Flavor Hog Blend, to taste

Sauce

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • squeeze lemon/orange juice
  • water, to thin
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons Spiceology X Chad White Flavor Hog Blend

Directions

  1. To cut your cauliflower into steaks, lightly remove some of the leaves from your head of cauliflower while keeping the stem intact. Cut the cauliflower about an inch from the center and then create a slice about an inch thick to create your steak.
  2. Once cut, brush with citrus juice and extra virgin olive oil and then season heavily with Spiceology X Chad White Flavor Hog Blend. Cook on a skillet or grill until you get a nice char on both sides and you can poke a fork through the base of the cauliflower steak.

  3. While the cauliflower is cooking, mix together sauce ingredients. Remove steaks from heat and drizzle with sauce and enjoy!
